Warbands...rules for small scale games. Although these rules are a bit dated (6th ed), they could be easily converted for 8th. I think this would be fun for weeknight games or part of a narrative campaign.
The rules for the Archetype Table and injuries are an interesting twist. I also like the idea of the escalation leagues, where you can add a small amount of bonus points into your next warband armylist; if you win, you get more points, but even if you lose, you get a small amount of points. There are even bonus points for underdog matchups.
